Same here, I started at 14, but really , I was in an almost non musical enviroment, my fathers never took an musical instrument, never encourage me to to do it, nobody in my family listen even comercial or popular rock,(ecept for my old man, but just some songs for nostalgy value, mostly listening to oldschool salsa), the closest thing was my uncle, he is into southamerican creole music(but that never helps too much), in my school everyone listened what was the trend, even my own highschool friends weren't that much interested in music, in few words: my situation to get into undeground music sucked bad, plus I was undfriendly with all the internet stuff at the beggining, so it took me a time to get in touch with rock, metal and punk stuff.
anyway, Persecution Mania FTW!!!!!
